Martin Ambassadors Nominated for 2014 GRAMMYs
We are filled with pride saying that three of our Martin Ambassadors have been nominated for GRAMMYs! Ed Sheeran is nominated for Best New Artist, Hunter Hayes is nominated in the category of Best Country Solo performance for “I Want Crazy,” and the Del McCoury Band’s “Streets of Baltimore” is nominated for Best Bluegrass Album.
The 56th Annual GRAMMYs will take place on Sunday, January 26th, 2014.
Hunter Hayes Interview: CMT Artists of the Year
CMT Artists of the Year honoree Hunter Hayes took time to reflect on his proudest moments. CMT hosted its fourth annual CMT Artists of the Year special on Tuesday, December 3rd to recognize an illustrious group of musicians for their outstanding accomplishments this year. In addition to Hayes, the gathering also honored Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line, and Tim McGraw. You can watch Hunter’s interview here.
Hunter couldn’t attend CMA Country Christmas while out on tour, but he tuned in from his tour bus and performed “Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow.” Check out his acoustic performance here.

2013 Surfer Poll Awards
The biggest night in surfing takes place on December 6th at the Turtle Bay Resort. We are proud sponsors of the 2014 Surfer Poll Awards and will be on hand for all the fun. The Release of “Inside Llewyn Davis”
The latest film from Joel and Ethan Coen, “Inside Llewyn Davis” will open in select theaters on December 6th. The film follows Llewyn Davis, played by Oscar Isaac, for a week around Greenwich Village in 1961, just before Bob Dylan arrives to change folk music. Country Music Takes Over Las Vegas
The American Country Awards will air live from the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas on December 10th at 8PM (EST) on FOX. Among the nominees is Martin Ambassador Hunter Hayes for Break Through Artist of the Year and Breakthrough Artist Single of the Year for “Somebody’s Heartbreak.” Martin player Brad Paisley is also nominated for Touring Artist of the Year.
Singer Songwriter Two Winner Drops Debut EP
Guitar Center’s Singer Songwriter 2 winner, Jeff Campbell, has finished recording his first EP with producer John Shanks. The EP will be released on December 10th and can be purchased on Amazon and iTunes. Jeff will take the stage on Jimmy Kimmel on Thursday December 12th to perform. John 5 Visits the Martin Factory
John 5, the guitarist for Rob Zombie, paid a visit to the Martin Guitar Factory last week. He stopped by before his performance at the Sands Casino in Bethlehem. During his visit, John 5 played Kurt Cobain’s Grandpa Guitar in the Martin Museum.

The MET Releases Martin Guitar Exhibit Dates! (The MET Museum)
“Early American Guitars: The Instruments of C.F. Martin” exhibit at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City will begin running on January 14th and continue to run through out the 2014 year. The exhibit includes thirty five instruments from the Martin Museum and several private collection pieces. Read more about this exciting Martin exhibit here.
City and Colour Performance to Air on Nov. 29th (Guitar Center)

Behind ‘Inside Llweyn Davis’ (Rolling Stone)
The Cohan Brother’s new movie ‘Inside Llewyn Davis’ hits theaters on December 6th and tells the story an emotionally blocked, folk singer (played by Oscar Isaac) in the early 1960′s in Greenwich Village. George Jones Tribute Concert Brings Out Hundred (CMT.com)
Nearly 100 singers and musicians came out to Bridge Stone Arena on Friday, November 22nd to pay tribute to George Jones. Players such as Vince Gill, Brad Paisley, Dierks Bentley, and many more performed George’s famous songs. You can learn more about the tribute concert here.

We love bringing up and coming artists to your attention! Today we are introducing you to Nina Nesbitt.
Nina is a talented, nineteen year old, singer and songwriter hailing from Eidenburg, Scotland. She is well known for her hit single, “Stay Out” as well as her two headlining tours. Nina is an avid Martin Guitar player and has been dubbed the “Female Ed Sheeran.”

Ed Sheeran Releases “I See Fire” (Music Mix)

Jake Bugg Releases Shangri La (Rolling Stone)
Today is the day Jake Bugg releases his second album entitled Shangri La. It took Jake Bugg and producer, Rick Rubin, only three weeks to record the new album. Jake says his biggest inspiration for the album was a trip to Tennessee. Learn more about Shangri La here.

Lennon and Maisy Show Martin Pride on Nashville (Rolling Stone)
Lennon and Maisy Stella (Maddie and Daphne Conrad) performed with a Martin Guitar on last week’s episode of ABC’s Nashville. We are brushing up on our ukelele knowledge in preparation of our upcoming trip to the North Shore of Hawaii for the 2013 Surfer Poll Awards in December.
Our heads have been buried in “The Martin Ukelele: The Little Instrument That Helped Create a Guitar Giant.” The book is an in depth account of Martin Ukeleles and how the little instrument grew the company’s success. We at Martin try to find any way to honor and salute the brave men and women who have served in America’s Armed Forces. There is not a day that goes by that we do not cherish their tremendous sacrifice and courageous service. As a company, we stand together to show our veterans how much we values their service.
Martin Guitar does not only thank our veterans today but through out the whole year we have highlighted our fellow coworkers who have served.This year’s 1833 Catalog featured our veteran coworkers. 2013 is almost over! But not before some exciting events take place in November.
Dierks Bentley’s Miles & Music for Kids Benefit
On November 3rd, Dierks Bentley will hold his eighth annual Music and Miles for Kids. The event begins with a motorcycle ride at Harley Davidson and ends with a concert that takes place at Nashville’s Riverfront Park.
This year’s event benefits the Monroe Carrell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbuilt. You can find more information about Dierks’ event here.
Country’s Biggest Night
The 47th Annual Country Music Awards (CMAs) will air on ABC at 8PM (EST) on November 6th. This will be the third year that Martin player, Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood will host the award show. Keep your eyes open for Martin Guitar appearances and Ambassadors. Learn more about the CMA’s here.
