Martin Ambassador, Hunter Hayes, is celebrating his 22nd birthday today! In honor of Hunter we thought we’d relive his rise to success over the past 22 years.
Before Hunter was a country singer, songwriter, and multi- instrumentalist , he was a normal kid with an astounding talent living in Bureaux Bridge, Louisiana.
Hunter’s passion for music started at the age of two when his grandmother gifted him a toy accordion. Hunter received his first guitar from actor Robert Duvall at the young age of seven. That same year he performed at a White House lawn party for then President Bill Clinton. During his childhood years, he performed for big names like Maury Povich, Rosie O’donnell and did a duet with Hank William Jr..
In 2010, Hunter signed to Atlantic Records in Nashville and began working on what would be his self-titled album, Hunter Hayes. The album was released on October, 11, 2011. It’s incredible to think that Hunter co-wrote, co-produced, and played every single instrument on the album. That’s what we call talent!
In May of 2012, Hunter became an official Martin Ambassador. He was quoted as saying, “It is an absolute honor to be named an official Martin Ambassador and to be recognized by the Martin family.” We couldn’t have asked for a better Ambassador!
Hunter’s latest album is Encore, a deluxe version of his 2011 self-titled album that includes eight new or rerecorded songs.
Join us in wishing Hunter a very happy 22nd birthday! You can find him on Facebook, on Twitter @HunterHayes, and on his website www.hunterhayes.com.
